Project: Riders Ahoy is for the motorbike riding community. The existing tools and applications are not enough to ensure the safety of the riders during the rides. The communication between the riders, during the rides, is often nonexistent when they are separated for say more than 5 km, the walkie-talkie handsets are not able to make connections. Riders Ahoy uses GPS, geolocation tracking to always display the position of the fellow riders, along with the combination of accelerometer, users would know if a rider has stopped. This app ensures the safety of the riders in case of any mishap by detecting a crash and sending push notifications to the given phone numbers.
